Lake Fork Fishing Report. Monday March 11th.
Male bass are starting to pull up into the mouths of spawning bays in 3-6’ of water. Watermelon flukes from TackleCoop seem to be the choice of baits today, although Cher caught hers on a jig with craw trailer early on. The big females are gorging on dying shad and roaming around in packs. You’ll find them in the early morning around the mouths of creeks near steep drop offs 3-9’ of water. Look for loons and cormorants feeding in those areas. This week is the full moon. Look for early spawners to move up shallow with this warming trend. This is the week to get on Fork!
Thanks Mike McFarland for taking out the lady hammers Cher Karbassian and Tammy Kimmel
