Question:
Are they’re any open party charter boats available to book for the local gamefish in the DFW area or is it all just private boats?
Context:
While I live on the west coast, I have been visiting family members in the DFW area for about 2 years now every time I go on break for the summer. Typically I target the largemouth bass that are available in the local urban spots outside of attending the annual flyfest in Fort Worth.
While I don’t own a person boat back home, I still have the opportunity a chasing exotics due to the big open party charter boat scene that allows me to get on a boat for a fraction of the price that I would be spending with a private charter at the costs of sharing it said boat with a lot of other anglers, a industry known as the “sport fishing party boat scene”.
After spending countless times attempting to chase these exotics, recently was able to land my first ever bluefin tuna after 6 years of trial and error. What I did not expect however, was the urge to find that same rush elsewhere without putting a hole in my wallet (not like a the tuna trip didn’t do that already).
Which brings me back to the question, are they’re any opportunities for open party charters?
